Shipping, Condition & Returns

Version 1.0 · Effective 25 September 2026

In this document, “Cashout”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Cashout, which operates this website. Contact us at [email protected].

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It explains how to send your devices, how we decide whether an item qualifies for a deal, and what happens if it doesn't.

1. Sending your items

  • Commit to a deal, then create a submission for the items you're sending. Use the delivery method the deal allows: a shipping label or a drop-off.
  • Address the parcel to your personal shipping code (shown on the deal) at the receiving address shown, not to Cashout and not to your own name. A parcel we can't match to an account can't be paid until it is identified.
  • Send only what you committed to, in the quantities you declared. Keep your tracking number and proof of postage.
  • Enter an accurate declared value. Insurance covers up to the declared value (see the Terms, section 6).
  • For posted items your price locks when the carrier first scans the parcel; for drop-offs it locks when we confirm we have received it. Dropping a parcel at a post office counter doesn't count until the carrier scans it.

2. Before you pack

  • Back up anything you want to keep, then factory reset the device.
  • Sign out of iCloud / Find My, Google (including Factory Reset Protection), Samsung and any other account, and remove any device-management profile. Locked devices can't be accepted.
  • Remove SIM cards, memory cards, cases and screen accessories, and any personal items.
  • Pack it securely in a sturdy box with padding so it can't move. Devices with damaged or swollen batteries must not be sent.
  • Include original accessories only if the deal says they're required.

We are not responsible for personal data left on a device. We'll securely wipe devices we keep, but you should never rely on us to do it for you.

3. Condition guide

The condition shown on the deal is what we price. Where a deal's own description is more specific, that description applies.

New

  • Unopened, unused and factory sealed in the original packaging.
  • Seals intact and the box in good condition.
  • Not activated, registered or otherwise used.

Used

  • Powers on and works fully: screen, touch, buttons, cameras, speakers, ports, wireless and charging.
  • Normal light wear only. No cracks, deep scratches, dents, missing parts, or liquid damage.
  • Genuine parts only; no unofficial repairs or modifications.
  • Not locked, blocked, blacklisted or reported lost or stolen.

4. What happens when we receive it

We check the quantity, the condition, that the item is genuine and unlocked, and that it belongs to your account. We aim to do this within a few business days of delivery, and we email you the outcome.

  • Accepted: your wallet is credited at the locked price.
  • Partly accepted: we credit the items that qualify, and tell you why any others didn't.
  • Not accepted: nothing is credited for those items, and section 5 applies.

5. Items we can't accept

  • We'll return items we can't accept to the address on your account at our cost, usually within 10 business days of telling you. Tell us if you'd rather we recycle them.
  • If we've told you an item is ready to return and it isn't claimed or you don't respond within 30 days, we may recycle or dispose of it.
  • We may keep, and report to police or the relevant authority, any item that appears to be stolen, counterfeit, locked to someone else's account, or otherwise unlawful, and we won't return it.
  • The insurance fee isn't refunded when items aren't accepted.

6. Lost or damaged parcels

  • Contact us within 14 days of sending the parcel if it hasn't arrived or arrives to us damaged in transit. Include your submission reference and tracking number.
  • Give us what we reasonably ask for, such as proof of postage, packaging photos or the carrier's claim details.
  • We'll assess your claim, usually within 10 business days. If it's accepted we'll credit your wallet up to the declared value for items that met the deal's condition.
  • We can't pay claims for items that didn't meet the deal, or where the declared value was wrong.

7. Drop-offs

If you hand items to us in person, we'll confirm what we received and give you a receipt or reference. The price locks when we confirm receipt, and we check the items in the same way as posted ones.

8. Your rights

Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't be excluded. For problems or disputes, use the complaints process in the Terms of Service.
